VISION
At Shotti Cares, Inc., we envision a Philadelphia where youth no longer fall victim to violence, poverty, or hopelessness—but instead rise as artists, leaders, and visionaries who use their talents to uplift their communities.
We believe that every child has a voice worth hearing, a story worth telling, and a purpose worth protecting. Through creative arts, we aim to reclaim our culture, restore our identity, and redirect our youth from destruction to destiny.
Our vision is to build a citywide movement that turns street corners into stages, trauma into transformation, and idle time into inspiration.

WHO WE ARE
Shotti Cares, Inc. is a grassroots nonprofit organization based in Philadelphia, created to serve youth at the intersection of urban struggle, creative potential, and cultural disconnection. Founded by Hip Hop artist and community advocate CallMeShotti, the organization is committed to transforming lives through creative and performance-based education.
Born out of lived experience and shaped by a love for the arts, Shotti Cares exists to give young people in Philadelphia something too many never receive: access, opportunity, and mentorship in environments that celebrate rather than stigmatize their identity and creativity.

WHY WE EXIST?
Philadelphia, like many urban cities, continues to face high rates of youth violence, school dropout, and community trauma—often amplified by cultural messaging that distorts Black identity and devalues creativity unless it’s rooted in profit or pain.
Shotti Cares exists to break that cycle.
We believe young people must be taught not only how to survive, but how to create, thrive, and transform—using art to heal their pain, elevate their voices, and rewrite the narrative of what it means to grow up Black and brilliant in America.

OUR CORE VALUES
•Creativity as Power – Art is not a hobby; it is a tool for survival, influence, and truth.
•Community First – Our work is grounded in the needs of our city and its youth.
•Cultural Integrity – We challenge media and artistic narratives that harm Black people.
•Access for All – Our programs are free and inclusive to any youth within Philadelphia.
•Mentorship Matters – Real change happens when young people are guided by those who’ve walked the same path.
